Projects

Marketing, Public Relations, Funding – Take on numerous marketing efforts to promote Sustainable Synergy. Examples of ideas are host movie viewings on campus, create professional display, create club email account, submit photos of the week, create commercial on local cable network, maintain flier on daily jolt, plan and coordinate final project presentations, etc. Determine different ways to fund events and projects especially the Solar Decathlon. Hold fund raising events, recruit students, increase club transparency with Clarkson.

Conferences/ Speakers/Trips – Determine what conference are available, beneficial to group, cost effective, feasible, etc. Then carry out all of the arrangmeents and planning. Coordinate to have a keynote speaker(s) come to the university to discuss energy and alternative forms of energy. ALSO, begin planning an energy fair hosted by Sustainable Synergy in the early Fall of 2010.

Collegiate Energy Association- Maintain profile on CEA webpage, build network with other collegiate institutions who have the same goals as Sustainable Synergy. Lastly, to learn from other schools as well as share our knowledge for the betterment of both parties.

Outdoor Campus Lighting - Determine if all lampposts are currently using the most efficient type of lighting. If not perform research and analysis to decide what most feasible option is.

Northern Federal Credit Union (NFCU) paper audit - Lead group to perform a complete paper audit of the banking branch. Will add value to group and also put our group out to the public as someone who can successfully start and finish a project.
